- When was the media filter last replaced? A clogged media filter is the most common cause of reduced performance. Most whole-home media filters should be replaced every 6-12 months, depending on household conditions.
- Is the furnace blower running? Whole-home air cleaners only filter air when it’s circulating through the system. If the furnace isn’t operating normally, the air cleaner won’t be filtering.
